Each year hundreds of daring souls brave the frigid waters of Lake Michigan on January 1st for the annual Polar Bear swim. This year I happend to grab a few photographs of the event, and I can tell you I was sure glad to be behind the camera on this one!

First the local fire department checked it out just to make sure there were no ice hazards.

This guy came out in style with his tux!

Boston is such a cool city and easy to get around. I think it’s one of the top walking cities in the U.S. and the train system gets you around anywhere you want to go. It’s so rich in history. The freedom trail is a quick way to see a lot of that history. If you’re ever out out there, you have to look up Frank Bernard who does caritures right outside at Faneuel Hall. He’s awesome and a great guy!

It’s amazing, it seems like only yesterday that Declan was born.

I finally had a chance to update the wedding photography website with some new images and galleries. Thank you to all the wonderful people I met and photographed last year. You are all a great inspiration to me!

The Seinfeld show was arguably one of the most popular and successful sitcoms on American television and one of my favorites—I just love this type of humor. The creativity between Seinfeld and David was amazing. Jerry Seinfeld will be at the Chicago Theatre on April 11 and tickets go on sale February 22nd. I’m hoping to be able to snag a couple for me and my wife. Anyone looking for a great night out with your date, I think this should make for a quality time. You can’t go wrong with humor and laughter.

I’m so grateful for the freedoms this country offers, and each day I’m inspired by the many great people in this nation and their accomplishments, many of which would not have been possible if not for the opportunities available. I hope everyone has had a wonderful Independence Day.

Took a trip with my brother John and our families to Door County over Memorial Day Weekend. It’s a great place for a quick getaway and it was nice spending some time with the family.

Last weekend was my brother John’s daughter’s Christening. Here name is Kaylee and what a cutee she is. The Christening was at Saints Cyril a beautiful, traditional church in historic Lemont.
